EIP)<\/em> merujuk kepada terapi dan sokongan yang berlaku pada atau sebelum usia pra-sekolah, seawal umur dua atau tiga tahun. Perkhidmatan ini juga dikenali sebagai Intervensi Awal Kanak-Kanak <em>(Early Childhood Intervention (ECI))<\/em> atau Intervensi Awal Kanak-Kanak Awal <em>(Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Bagi kanak-kanak dengan autisme, intervensi awal bertujuan untuk membantu mereka mengembangkan kemahiran dalam komunikasi, kehidupan seharian, pergaulan dan pembelajaran. Membangunkan kemahiran ini lebih awal meningkatkan peluang mereka untuk berjaya dalam pelbagai aspek kehidupan termasuk aktiviti di rumah, di sekolah dan dalam komuniti.<\/p>\n<p>Adalah disarankan untuk memulakan intervensi awal sebaik sahaja keperluan kanak-kanak diiktiraf, walaupun sebelum diagnosa autisme disahkan.<\/p>\n<p>Intervensi awal boleh berlaku di rumah, pusat jagaan kanak-kanak, sekolah atau persekitaran komuniti. Seterusnya, penyedia perkhidmatan akan bekerjasama dengan keluarga untuk membangunkan pelan sokongan peribadi. Ini akan memberi tumpuan untuk membantu anak anda mencapai matlamat tertentu dan memenuhi pencapaian perkembangan.<\/p>\n<p>Keluarga memainkan peranan penting pada intervensi awal. Penyelidikan telah menunjukkan bahawa apabila ibu bapa terlibat secara aktif, kanak-kanak cenderung untuk melakukan yang lebih baik berbanding dengan program yang hanya dijalankan oleh pendidik atau profesional kesihatan.<\/p>\n<p>Intervensi awal menggunakan gabungan strategi, sokongan dan terapi, biasanya termasuk aktiviti berasaskan permainan. Pendekatan ini lebih menyeronokkan untuk kanak-kanak dan didapati berkesan dalam mengajar kemahiran hidup yang penting.<\/p>\n<p>Program intervensi awal untuk autisme sebaiknya disesuaikan untuk menangani cabaran dan daya unik setiap kanak-kanak. Oleh itu, intervensi awal dalam autisme adalah kritikal. <\/p>\n<p>Walau bagaimanapun, otak seseorang boleh berubah dan menyesuaikan pada sebarang usia. Oleh yang demikian, sama ada kanak-kanak terlibat didiagnosa dengan autisme apabila usia mereka telah meningkat, mendapatkan bantuan dan sokongan masih boleh melahirkan perbezaan besar dalam hasil perkembangan mereka. <\/p>\n<p>Kanak-kanak dengan autisme sering menghadapi kelewatan pada pembangunan kemahiran dalam bidang seperti kemahiran pergerakan, komunikasi dan peraturan emosi. Ini boleh menyukarkan mereka untuk mengambil bahagian dalam aktiviti sekolah, pergaulan sosial dan komuniti. Intervensi awal berfungsi menangani kelewatan ini, terus menggalakkan perkembangan dan pembelajaran yang sihat.  <\/p>\n<p>Kanak-kanak kecil secara semula jadi menyesuaikan diri dan belajar dengan cepat. Sebagai contoh, kanak-kanak biasanya menempuh kemahiran baharu dengan mudah, seperti bertutur atau belajar bermain alat atau sukan dilakukan dengan senang.
