Pendirian ini amat penting semasa kanak-kanak masih muda, kerana memikirkan tentang penjagaan jangka panjang boleh mempengaruhi keputusan kehidupan mereka, seperti pendidikan, kerjaya dan perancangan keluarga. Beban tanggungjawab masa depan juga boleh menyebabkan tekanan mental yang ketara kepada adik-beradik. (Quatrosi et al, 2023).   <\/p>\n<p>Galakkan adik-beradik meluahkan perasaan dan ingatkan mereka bahawa mereka berhak mengidamkan kehidupan dan identiti mereka sendiri, berasingan daripada menjadi adik-beradik kepada seseorang dengan autisme. Tegaskan bahawa ini tidak bermakna mereka kurang menyayangi adik-beradik mereka. Cara pergaulan sosial begini juga memberi peluang kepada anak-anak anda untuk bertemu dengan adik-beradik kanak-kanak dengan autisme yang lain, membantu mereka menyedari bahawa mereka tidak bersendirian dan perasaan mereka adalah semula jadi.
